FAQS
Training & Performance
Most athletes notice the difference within the first few minutes of training with GMX7. Coaches often observe improvements in stroke timing, body position, and propulsion almost immediately. The system provides real-time resistance feedback that helps swimmers identify inefficiencies while reinforcing stronger, more connected movement through the water.
GMX7 is built around a simple principle: resistance training should enhance stroke mechanics, not compromise them. Traditional swim resistance tools can pull athletes out of alignment and reinforce inefficient movement patterns. GMX7 delivers smooth, consistent resistance designed to maintain natural body position while developing power, propulsion, and connection through the water. This is Precision Aquatic Resistance Training.
Yes. GMX7 is designed to work across freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. The system helps swimmers identify inefficiencies, improve body control, and develop more effective propulsion in all four competitive strokes.
Most swimmers integrate GMX7 into training 2–4 times per week, depending on their goals, event focus, and overall workload. Sprinters, distance swimmers, triathletes, and open water athletes may all use the system differently. GMX7 provides sample workouts and training guidance to help athletes and coaches structure resistance training effectively.
SETUP & COMPATIBILITY
Once familiar with the system, setup typically takes:
- 1–2 minutes for the X3-25m PRO
- 2–3 minutes for the X3-50m PRO
GMX7 is designed to integrate easily into regular swim training sessions without complicated setup.
Yes. GMX7 can be used in virtually any indoor or outdoor pool. The systems connect using carabiners and can attach to lane line hardware, ladders, eye bolts, or other stable anchor points.
GMX7 currently offers:
- X1 Entry System — up to 25m
- X3-25m PRO System — up to 25m
- X3-50m PRO System — up to 50m
This allows athletes and coaches to train in nearly any any pool configuration.
Yes. GMX7 delivers smooth, continuous resistance throughout the swim stroke. Unlike many resistance systems that create uneven pull or disrupt body position, GMX7 is designed to maintain natural stroke mechanics while helping athletes build propulsion, control, and efficiency.
Yes. Each system can support additional shuttles, belts, and leashes, allowing multiple swimmers to train simultaneously. This makes GMX7 ideal for coaches, teams, and training groups.
PRODUCT & PURCHASING
The primary distinction between the X3 and the X1 lies in their level of precision and analytical capability. The X3 is a manual analytical device designed to deliver precise, repeatable measurements across the full range from zero to immovable resistance. In contrast, the X1 offers less precision and does not provide the same level of measurable, repeatable results. Additionally, the X1 features a more economical line and reel system, along with a smaller shuttle, which makes it particularly well suited for age-group swimmers, although it remains effective at all levels for correcting stroke deficiencies. Overall, the X3 is the more advanced device and is engineered for significantly greater durability.
Yes. GMX7 is engineered, manufactured, assembled, and shipped from Sarasota, Florida. Every system is proudly built in the USA.
Replacement parts are available directly through the GMX7 shop, including components related to the resistance system and accessories.
GMX7 offers a 15-day warranty from the time of delivery covering manufacturing defects and quality-related issues. The company currently has more than 3,000 systems in use worldwide with zero returns reported.
